Morādābād

Moradabad is known across the world as Brass City, the heart of India's brassware industry in western Uttar Pradesh on the banks of the Ramganga river. Its workshops have hammered and engraved metalware for export for generations, and the craft still drives the local economy and fills its bustling bazaars. A busy, practical city on the route between Delhi and the Himalayan foothills, it pairs that artisan heritage with a strong trading culture and easy rail links across the north. Affordable and authentic, with a growing cafe scene serving its traders and students. The climate is hot in summer and cool in winter.
