Honolulu

Honolulu is the production and business hub of the Hawaiian Islands, a city where tourism marketing, surf and lifestyle content, and a resident film and television industry (Hawaii Five-0 and its successors trained a deep local crew base) all draw on the same talent pool. Crews, photographers, and stylists work across Waikiki, Kaka'ako, and the studio facilities near Diamond Head. Production here runs on island time in the best sense: unhurried, but exacting about respect for place, and crews expect briefs that engage Hawaiian and Pacific culture rather than treat it as scenery.

Poke, plate lunch (rice, mac salad, and a protein), spam musubi, malasadas, and shave ice are daily food, not tourist novelties. Ocean and reef etiquette matters for any beach shoot: reef-safe sunscreen is often required by law, and some cultural or environmental sites restrict commercial filming.
