Assignment Description
We are looking for an experienced CI/CD Platform Engineer / Developer Experience Engineer
What You Will Work On
- Execute and evolve the Buildkite CI strategy at large scale
- Manage and maintain self-hosted Buildkite agent fleets across:
- Linux
- macOS
- Windows
- Build and maintain Buildkite infrastructure, pipeline templates, plugins, hooks, and shared libraries
- Automate agent provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and lifecycle management
- Improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of CI infrastructure
- Scale CI infrastructure for large monorepos through efficient pipeline splitting and artifact management
- Develop standardized CI/CD solutions and improve developer productivity
- Support migration of internal teams to modern CI platform capabilities
- Work with cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and/or Azure
- Collaborate with platform and engineering teams to define best practices for CI/CD
- Contribute to software engineering best practices including testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience building and implementing large-scale software or infrastructure systems
- Strong software engineering experience with Java
- Experience with Python is beneficial
- Hands-on experience with Buildkite, including agent management, pipelines, plugins, or hooks
- Strong understanding of CI/CD platforms and developer infrastructure
- Experience working with:
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Terraform
- Strong knowledge of Linux, macOS, and Windows environments
- Experience with Shell and PowerShell scripting
- Good understanding of HTTP and networking fundamentals
- Experience deploying and implementing solutions in cloud environments such as:
- Google Cloud
- AWS
- Azure
- Strong focus on automation, standardization, reliability, and developer experience
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple engineering teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
