The role:

Are you a self-motivated, enthusiastic and supportive individual? If so, Barr Beacon School may have the perfect opportunity for you.

Our Head of House PAs provide pastoral and administrative support in a fast-paced working environment. They play a key role in facilitating the day-to-day administration support working closely with the Head of House.

In this role you will often be the first point of contact for pupils and parents. Key responsibilities include:

• Completing absence calls, and attendance requirements;
• Maintaining pupil records including behaviour logs, medical cards and incident reports;
• Attending and minuting parent meetings;
• Undertaking administration duties to a high standard.

This is a demanding yet rewarding role. To be successful at interview, you will need to demonstrate and have key skills including:

• Having previous experience in working in a similar administrative role, desirably within an educational setting;
• Having at least GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English and Maths;
• Have strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise own workload and multi-task;
• Being an effective team worker within a busy pastoral team;
• Ability to handle confidential information.
