Our client is at the forefront of integrated photonics , developing next-generation technologies that bridge the gap between scientific research and real-world applications. Working closely with industry leaders, universities and research partners, they develop advanced photonic technologies that support applications ranging from telecommunications and quantum technologies to healthcare, sensing and high-speed data communication. As part of a growing R&D team, you'll play an important role in developing and optimising fabrication processes for next-generation photonic integrated circuits. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on laboratory work with process development and innovation in a cleanroom environment. Process Development Engineer Main responsibilities As a Process Development Engineer, you will: - Develop and optimise thin-film deposition processes for advanced photonic devices. - Integrate functional materials, including piezoelectric thin films, onto silicon nitride photonic platforms. - Characterise and evaluate device performance to improve process quality and reliability. - Support the development of innovative photonic integrated circuits for emerging technologies. - Work closely with customers to translate research into practical industrial applications. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, research institutes and technical specialists to drive innovation. - Contribute to continuous improvements in fabrication processes, quality and production efficiency. - Share technical knowledge and support the ongoing development of new photonic technologies.
