Someone who can work independently, wants to learn and grow, and feels at home in the unique atmosphere of the Souterrain. Souterrain 1634 is a restaurant in Groningen specifically for flexitarians, where vegetables take center stage. In the historic basement of Hotel Corps de Garde, we create a contemporary dining experience where taste, seasons, and craftsmanship come together. No trends or statements, but a well-thought-out concept that aligns with how we want to eat today: consciously, purely, and with an eye for quality. We are looking for an independent chef, someone who dares to make the kitchen entirely their own, wants to grow, and ultimately wants to be at the helm of Souterrain 1634. Final responsibility lies with our Executive Chef Henrice Dijks, meaning you will also work closely with colleagues from our other restaurant, Restaurant Blumé.
