Teacher of History (Maternity Cover)

MPS/UPS (Inner London) + Teacher Pension Scheme + 24/7 access to a free virtual GP Service + collaborative MAT network + additional LAT benefits. We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of History who can deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our students across this curriculum area. Our successful candidate will be driven, motivated and most of all, passionate about the visual arts and nurturing creativity. You will be part of a vibrant, experienced, supportive team; we believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things and see this as the key to further developing innovative teaching and learning strategies. If you want to join a highly successful team who are passionate about research-informed education, and you can inspire learners to go beyond what they are taught and seek what they do not yet know, then we want to hear from you. Note that whilst the position is offered on a maternity cover basis until June 2027, every effort will be made to offer a substantive position thereafter, either at Leigh Academy Wilmington or within the wider family of academies across Leigh Academies Trust. The central Recruitment Team will keep in touch with you throughout your contract to discuss options available to you.
