As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your role may include working with SEND children in our intervention rooms: the Willow Room where we deliver intervention for pre-formal learners and the Aspen Room where we deliver intervention for semi-formal learners. James Cambell Primary School also has an on-site SEMH ARP, the Cambell Primary Centre. Your role may therefore also include working closely with children who have SEMH needs and are receiving additional support to thrive.

Supports children’s communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
Contributes observations about children’s progress to help staff review and refine their support.
Brings initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm, working collaboratively and learning from others.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
