Breakfast and After School Club Playworker

We are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity to work in our breakfast and after school club which is based in our beautiful school grounds. The Club, known as The Graitney Club, delivers the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and Childcare Register requirements for up to 50 children aged 4-11 from Crawley Ridge Infant School and Crawley Ridge Junior School, in premises on the junior school site.

We are looking for reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic playworkers to join The Graitney Club, which runs from 7.30am - 9am and from 3pm to 6pm. Your duties will include helping to register the children at the start of each session, preparing healthy snacks and supervising indoor and outdoor play and activities. Together with the Graitney Club Manager you will be expected to bring fresh, fun ideas to entertain the children in a safe and stimulating environment.

Previous experience would be an advantage, but training will be given. You will be expected to complete training in safeguarding, food hygiene, first aid and any other qualifications relevant to the role. The ideal candidate will be working as part of a professional and committed team to make the childcare we provide an enjoyable experience for all children.

The job is term time only, though we are always looking for opportunities to expand our provision which may involve Inset Days and holidays in the future.

Hours: 16.65 hours per week

Salary: £9,587 - £9,760 per annum (£25,133FTE)
