GPPAC members are active before, during, and after conflict. Embedded in their communities, they navigate complex and often fragile environments with contextual knowledge and long-standing, trusted relationships that extend from the community to the government level and across conflict divides. These connections, together with their legitimacy within their societies, position them to understand conflict risks, strengthen the conditions for peace, and contribute to more peaceful, resilient and secure societies. What makes GPPAC's network approach different is not only that its members are deeply rooted in their communities, but also that they are connected to one another. Organised through 14 regional networks, GPPAC enables peacebuilders to exchange knowledge, lessons and solidarity across contexts and regions, fostering collective action among locally led actors. Members draw on one another's insights to adapt locally driven responses to emerging challenges, recognising that approaches must always be shaped by local realities.
