Main Purpose of the Role
- Lead and oversee Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1, and the Read Write Inc program
- Class based teacher in KS1 classroom for 0.6 days
- Model outstanding classroom practice and support colleagues to raise teaching standards
- Contribute to the strategic leadership of our large, rapidly improving school
- Promote and uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and equality
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Read Write Inc
- Support and develop high-quality teaching and learning across these areas
- Act as a role model of outstanding classroom practice, coaching and mentoring staff as needed
- Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation and school improvement planning
- Work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team
- Ensure robust safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered to at all times
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the school
- Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the community
- Seek permission from your Governing Board for temporary release if currently employed elsewhere
