Examination Invigilator

£13.48 per hour

Casual basis

Want to help our students succeed when it matters most? Are you a detail-focused, dependable person who thrives in a calm environment? Ready to play a key role in keeping our exam seasons running smoothly?

If you answered yes, we’d love to hear from you!

At Blackpool Sixth, we specialise in 16-19 education, creating a vibrant, first-class environment where students truly thrive. To ensure everything operates seamlessly, we are looking for friendly, reliable Examination Invigilators to join us on a casual basis.

Working alongside our Examinations Officers, you’ll be vital in creating a calm, fair, and secure space where students can perform at their very best. No previous invigilation experience? No problem! Full training is provided. You’ll be joining a warm, collaborative team that takes pride in supporting our students every step of the way.

A day in your new role could see you:-

  1. Setting the stage: helping to prepare exam rooms, displaying seating plans, and writing key details on the board so students feel ready and relaxed.
  2. Welcoming candidates:greeting students with a friendly face and helping them find their seats swiftly.
  3. Keeping things fair: ensuring everyone follows exam guidelines regarding phones, bags, and quiet conduct.
  4. Managing the paper trail: distributing exam papers according to JCQ and awarding body regulations and securely collecting answer scripts at the end.
  5. Providing quiet support: supervising the room unobtrusively, stepping in when a student raises a hand, or escort candidates taking quick breaks.

Be the quiet hero behind our students' biggest successes - apply today!
