The Opportunity at Wilfred Owen
  • Position: L2 Learning Support Assistant (Teaching Assistant) & Lunchtime Supervisor
  • Hours: 26hrs per week (Monday - Friday 8.45am-3.15pm) plus 2.5 hours Lunchtime Supervisor
  • Contract Terms: Fixed-Term to 31st July 2027 (Term-Time only)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Salary: Grade 1 (SCP3) & Grade 5 (SCP6-7)
  • Closing Date: Friday 18th September 2026
  • Interview Date: Wednesday 23rd September 20206

Context

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support the children in our Year One class. We are looking for a positive, dedicated members of staff who will have high expectations and be committed to raising standards for our children. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic. You will be able to work under pressure and remain calm in all situations. Experience of working with children would be beneficial, and evidence of working with children with SEN would be favourable. A willingness to work additional hours supporting children attending our wraparound care provision (8.00am-8.45am/3.15pm-5.30pm) would be an advantage.
