This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher to take on a key leadership role within our Maths department, supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum. The successful candidate will play an important role in raising achievement, developing the quality of teaching and learning, and inspiring students to develop a strong understanding and enthusiasm for Maths.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of the Maths department
- Drive high standards of teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Lead on curriculum development, assessment, and intervention strategies
- Monitor and support student progress, ensuring all learners achieve their full potential
- Contribute to staff development through coaching and sharing best practice
- Inspire a love of mathematics across the school community
What you'll need to succeed
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong track record of student achievement
- Have the ability to motivate, challenge, and support both students and colleagues
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Be passionate about mathematics and dedicated to raising standards
- Have excellent organisational and communication skills
