To support the continued development of our primary provision, we are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils and teaching staff to help create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Work with individual pupils or small groups to support their learning, development and engagement.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour strategies that support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Help create and maintain a safe, structured and positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to monitoring pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and wider staff team.

Key Requirements

  • Experience of working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
  • An understanding of, or interest in, supporting pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Patience, resilience and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
