Technical Consultant/Developer ResearchCloud - Jobs Ref: #74723 Technical Consultant/Developer ResearchCloud Technical Consultant / Developer (Research Cloud Platform) Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid, 2 days on-site per week) Contract: Initial contract until December 2026 with possible extension Hours: 32-40 hours per week Rate: Competitive market rate About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Consultant / Developer to support a major organisation within the higher education and research sector on a strategic cloud migration project. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for migrating existing Virtual Research Environments (VREs) to a modern cloud-based research platform. This role combines infrastructure automation, cloud technologies, software development, and technical consultancy. Working alongside solution architects, software developers, and external technology partners, you will help design and deliver a robust and scalable service for researchers and scientific users. Key Responsibilities - Migrate existing Ansible-based environments to a cloud-hosted research platform. - Investigate, design, and implement integrations with platform APIs. - Develop and maintain applications built with Python and Django. - Gather and analyse business and technical requirements from stakeholders. - Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions alongside solution architects. - Support infrastructure automation and platform modernisation initiatives. - Contribute to the delivery of a stable and secure research environment. Required Skills & Experience Essential - Strong experience with Ansible and infrastructure automation. - Commercial experience with Python development. - Experience developing and supporting Django applications.
