Job Overview
Role Summary
An Integration Developer is needed for a consulting assignment within Domain Data Services, focused on data, integrations, and modern platform services. You will join a team building a new integration and API platform for master data, used by digital services and applications across the organisation.
The platform integrates with SAP S/4, SAP Datasphere, and other data sources, exposing domain APIs for areas such as assortment, pricing, campaigns, and product information. The solution is built on Azure using services including Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure API Management, and MongoDB.
The work follows a specification-driven approach and uses AI-assisted practices for design, development, and quality assurance. This role offers significant individual responsibility and close collaboration between business and technology stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve integrations and APIs that form a central part of the digital ecosystem.
- Drive delivery from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and follow-up.
- Build robust, available, and high-quality data flows for business-critical information.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and adjacent development teams.
- Troubleshoot production issues, manage incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to improvements in architecture, development processes, delivery practices, and technical ways of working.
- Work independently from requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- TypeScript and Node.js for backend and integration development.
- Development and lifecycle management of REST APIs.
- Database experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or equivalent database technologies.
- Integration experience with ERP systems and other business-critical platforms.
- Strong understanding of data modelling and information flows.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices.
- Azure-based platform services, including Azure API Management and Azure Kubernetes Service, are highly advantageous.
- Experience with SAP S/4, SAP Datasphere, OData, Kubernetes, Helm, JSON, XML, and file-based integrations is advantageous.
Qualifications & Experience
You have several years of experience as an Integration Developer, Backend Developer, or in a comparable role. You bring strong practical expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, REST API development, database technologies, and integration delivery. Experience in complex integration landscapes and master data management is highly valued.
Experience from retail or other business-critical environments is advantageous. Familiarity with Agile delivery methods is required, while experience with SAFe and PI Planning is beneficial. Experience with AI-assisted development, specification-driven practices, and frontend or full-stack development is also considered an advantage.
