In this role, you will be responsible to: <ul> <li> Build and run Workato’s global developer community programs: launch and scale hundreds of local developer user groups, a world‑class MVP / Champions program, and university & student outreach initiatives. </li> <li> Design and maintain the supporting systems, tooling, and analytics that power self‑service growth. </li> <li> Recruit, onboard, and mentor community leaders and champions, providing resources, recognition, and incentives to sustain long‑term engagement. </li> <li> Launch ambassador and champions programs; recognize and reward top contributors. </li> <li> Design and execute community strategy across Discord, GitHub, Reddit, X/Twitter, and in‑person meetups. </li> <li> Moderate online forums, surface insights, and route feedback to Product & Engineering. </li> <li>Build relationships within the San Francisco AI community and host events and activations in our SF hub. </li> </ul> <h1>Requirements</h1> <h3>Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills</h3> <ul> <li> Experience working in both a startup environment and matrixed organization.  </li> <li> 5 + years building and nurturing developer communities from zero to scale. </li> <li> 5 + years of hands‑on programmatic marketing, including segmentation, automation, and lifecycle campaigns. </li> <li> Direct, end‑to‑end experience planning and executing in‑person and virtual events </li> <li>Must be local to San Francisco and willing to operate in our San Francisco office</li> </ul> <h3>Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics</h3> <ul> <li> Strong written voice and conflict‑resolution skills. </li> <li> Strong operational approach with metrics, structured processes, and holding teams accountable. </li> <li> Empathetic community builder who nurtures inclusive spaces. </li> </ul> For California applicants, the pay for this role begins at $210,000 plus variable, benefits, perks and equity. <h4>(REQ ID: 2137)</h4>
