Paris is one of the world's three top fashion capitals and a working base for advertising, editorial, music video, fashion film, and feature production at every scale. Studios and agencies cluster in the Marais, the 11th, the 9th around Pigalle, the 16th near the studios of Boulogne, and the post-production belt across the periphery. Talent is fluent in French and increasingly English, runs at French and international finish standards, and is comfortable with production at the high end of European budgets.

Paris eats with seriousness and with humour, depending on the room: bistro standards (steak frites, blanquette de veau, oeufs mayo, gratin dauphinois) in the neighbourhoods, classical pâtisserie at the historic houses, plus a serious modern bistronomie scene that reshaped what young Parisian cooking looks like. Coffee has finally caught up to the rest of the food. The metro is fast, taxis are honest, and lunch runs 12:30 to 14:30 with dinner from 19:30.
