Are you experienced with hyperscale data centres and complex international projects? As Electrical Lead in COWI, you will play a key role in delivering hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects, shaping robust, future-ready electrical solutions within large, multidisciplinary teams working across borders.

Grow COWI’s international data centre business

Data centres are a strategic growth area at COWI. As we scale our presence in this market, we are enhancing our multidisciplinary capabilities and working closely with clients to develop reliable, efficient and sustainable data centre solutions. In this role, you will engage closely with clients, colleagues and partners to develop and deliver data centre projects from early concept through design and implementation.

As Electrical Lead, you play a critical role in the delivery of complex, international data centre projects, contributing deep electrical expertise within large, multidisciplinary and cross‑geographical project organisations. You work closely with Senior Project Managers, Project Directors and Design Managers to translate international client requirements into robust, scalable and future‑ready electrical solutions.

You will operate in an English-speaking, international project environment, collaborating with colleagues across the Nordics and the UK. Within COWI’s rapidly growing and strategically focused data centre business, you will have the opportunity to deepen your technical leadership, work on some of the region’s largest hyperscale and mission-critical projects, and help shape how we deliver future-ready data centre solutions.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Act as technical lead for the electrical discipline on international data centre projects, accountable for design strategy, quality, compliance, and coordination
  • Design and advise on mission-critical electrical systems, including power distribution, redundancy strategies, and high-availability solutions
  • Serve as key electrical authority within project teams, supporting project leadership and ensuring clear cross-disciplinary interfaces
  • Engage with international clients and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust design solutions aligned with project delivery stages (e.g. RIBA)
  • Support projects across the full lifecycle, from early concept and feasibility through design, construction, and commissioning
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary, international teams and contribute to consistent, high-quality delivery across projects and partners

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.

To succeed in this role, you are motivated by collaboration in complex, international environments. You communicate clearly, respect different cultures and ways of working, and own your tasks in demanding delivery contexts. You combine solid technical expertise with a solution‑oriented and pragmatic mindset.

In addition, you bring:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience from engineering consultancy, technical advisory, or complex infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated background working with data centers or other mission-critical facilities
  • Solid understanding of data centre design, including electrical infrastructure, redundancy principles, and ELV systems
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and structured delivery frameworks (e.g. EN 50600, TIA 942, RIBA or equivalent)
  • Ability to contribute at senior level or lead technical teams in international environments, with professional proficiency in English

Work location.

The role can be based in any of our offices across Scandinavia. This includes offices in:

Norway - Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Oslo and Fredrikstad

Sweden - Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö

Denmark - Copenhagen, Kongens Lyngby, Vejle, Esbjerg, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg

We work in international and multidisciplinary teams, and many of our projects are delivered across offices and borders.
