We are helping our partner - a fast-growing product company in the iGaming space - find a Middle Java Developer to join their backend team.
This is a product environment where backend engineering directly impacts platform stability, scalability, and business growth.
You won’t just “close tickets.” You’ll work on real systems, real architecture, and real technical challenges.
What this role is really about
You’ll be working on a high-load platform where:
- systems process real-time events;
- performance and reliability matter daily;
- backend services must scale under heavy load;
- technical decisions affect the whole product ecosystem.
The team builds and develops services end-to-end, with a strong engineering mindset and ownership culture.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and improve backend services.
- Work with microservices architecture.
- Participate in technical discussions and solution design.
- Solve performance and scalability challenges.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams.
- Support and improve existing services while building new functionality.
- Take ownership of your work and engineering decisions.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Java.
- Strong practical experience with:
- Spring Boot;
- PostgreSQL;
- Kafka or similar messaging systems.
- Experience working with microservices.
- Good understanding of distributed systems principles.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with AWS or Kubernetes will be a plus.
- gRPC - nice to have.
