We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a fast-growing product company developing an innovative digital healthcare platform.
Project: US-based telehealth platform, focused on improving access to medical cannabis. The platform connects patients with licensed healthcare providers through virtual consultations, helping them obtain medical marijuana cards quickly and easily, along with personalized treatment plans based on individual health needs. You'll work on a modern SaaS product that helps improve access to healthcare services through secure, scalable, and user-friendly technology.
As part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll contribute to building new features, improving system performance, integrating third-party services, and scaling a cloud-based platform used by thousands of users.
Tech Stack: Ruby on Rails 7, Puma, Sidekiq, Redis, Sorcery Authentication, MySQL / PostgreSQL, RSpec.
Infrastructure & DevOps: AWS, AWS CDK, GitHub Actions, CI/CD.
Integrations: Stripe, Chargebee, NMI, Twilio, Zoom, Intercom, HubSpot, PostHog, Rollbar, AWS CloudWatch.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails 7.
- Experience with Redis, Sidekiq, and background job processing.
- Solid knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
- Experience writing automated tests using RSpec.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and best engineering practices.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with React.
- Experience with AWS Lambda.
- Knowledge of payment systems and billing integrations.
- Experience working with SaaS or Healthcare products.
