Backend Developer (Node.js / NestJS)

About the Role

  We're looking for an experienced Backend Developer (Node.js / NestJS) to join our engineering team in Prague.

You'll work on a large-scale international B2C platform serving users across multiple markets. Our products process high volumes of transactions and real-time events, requiring reliable, scalable, and high-performance backend services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services within a microservices architecture
• Build new product features and improve existing functionality
• Integrate third-party APIs and external service providers
• Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases
• Create database migrations and indexes
• Optimize application performance and SQL queries
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
• Collaborate with Backend Engineers, QA Engineers, and Product Managers

• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions

   

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of commercial Backend development experience
• Strong knowledge of Node.js
• Commercial experience with NestJS
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience building microservices

• Understanding of distributed systems and REST APIs

   

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Go
• Unit and Integration Testing
• ClickHouse
• Experience with high-load / real-time systems

• Experience integrating payment providers
