Mission
Every month, drones injure and kill thousands of Ukrainians. We build point-defense systems to stop them. Our first product is a hand-launched micro-missile designed to intercept small drones at close range. It's small enough to carry three in a vest and cheap enough for mass deployment. Our goal is to change the battlefield in Ukraine through very high-volume production, then deliver proven systems to NATO.

Role summary
We're hiring our first Hardware Technician. You'll work directly alongside the engineering team to build and iterate on prototypes, then help transition them as we scale to high-volume production. As the team grows, you'll help onboard and train the technicians around you.

Expect to relocate to Kyiv soon after joining and work mostly from there, with some time in the UK. You'll work alongside the founding engineering team and incorporate feedback from Ukrainian soldiers in the field. You will not operate near front-line areas. Work in Ukraine is conditional on a stable security situation.

What you'll do
• Build, test and iterate on prototypes alongside the engineering team
• Assemble, bring up and debug electronics and electromechanical systems
• Define and document build processes as designs stabilise
• Help transition prototypes into repeatable production
• Onboard and train technicians as the team scales

Requirements
• Hands-on experience assembling and debugging electromechanical systems
• Comfortable working from incomplete information and evolving designs
• Strong soldering and rework skills across PCB and mechanical assembly
• High personal drive and tolerance for fast-paced, intense work periods
• Owns problems end-to-end rather than waiting to be unblocked

Nice to have
• Speaks Ukrainian
• Experience in a prototyping or low-volume production environment
• Exposure to test-fixture design or build-process documentation
• Startup or early-stage company experience
• Personal engineering projects outside work or university
• Military or defence background

Credibility
In four months we went from concept to a robust missile prototype - smaller and cheaper than anything comparable, fireable with one hand, reliably intercepting FPV drones. Recent work includes working with the Ukrainian armed forces to go from pre-idea to warhead design, production and live-fire testing in 24 hours; car-mounted missile testing at 200 km/h; building an air cannon in two days then destructively testing 50 missiles to diagnose a hardware issue; and six launches in a single day with design iterations between each.

Our team is from the Special Forces, Stanford, 1X, Imperial College, FLIR, student engineering teams and non-traditional paths. What we share is the ability to build real systems fast, take ownership and work toward a safer Europe.
