We are looking for a Junior Java AQA Engineer to join our team and help build reliable automated tests for modern web products in fintech, AI, telecommunications, and healthcare domains.
This is a great opportunity to grow quickly into a strong automation engineer while working on real projects, real code, and real products under the mentorship of an experienced team.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated tests for web applications using Java with Playwright and/or Selenium
- Cover key user flows with smoke and regression UI tests
- Perform API testing and backend response validation
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and create clear bug reports
- Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to improve product quality
- Participate in test case creation and gradually expand test coverage
- Support test stability and assist with debugging activities
- Continuously improve automation skills in a real project environment
Requirements
- Commercial, pet-project, internship, or freelance experience with Java for at least 6 months
- Understanding of software testing fundamentals
- Basic experience or strong interest in test automation
- Familiarity with Playwright, Selenium, or other UI automation tools
- Understanding of Page Object Model (POM)
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS with the ability to locate web elements
- Basic knowledge of REST API concepts, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON
- Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and request validation
- Basic Git knowledge: commit, push, pull
- Attention to detail and motivation to write high-quality tests
- English level: B1 or higher
Nice to Have
- Experience with JUnit or TestNG
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Understanding of automation design patterns
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Experience with Allure Reports or similar reporting tools
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
