Junior Java AQA Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Java AQA Engineer to join our team and help build reliable automated tests for modern web products in fintech, AI, telecommunications, and healthcare domains.

This is a great opportunity to grow quickly into a strong automation engineer while working on real projects, real code, and real products under the mentorship of an experienced team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain automated tests for web applications using Java with Playwright and/or Selenium
  • Cover key user flows with smoke and regression UI tests
  • Perform API testing and backend response validation
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and create clear bug reports
  • Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to improve product quality
  • Participate in test case creation and gradually expand test coverage
  • Support test stability and assist with debugging activities
  • Continuously improve automation skills in a real project environment

 

Requirements

  • Commercial, pet-project, internship, or freelance experience with Java for at least 6 months
  • Understanding of software testing fundamentals
  • Basic experience or strong interest in test automation
  • Familiarity with Playwright, Selenium, or other UI automation tools
  • Understanding of Page Object Model (POM)
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS with the ability to locate web elements
  • Basic knowledge of REST API concepts, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON
  • Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and request validation
  • Basic Git knowledge: commit, push, pull
  • Attention to detail and motivation to write high-quality tests
  • English level: B1 or higher

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with JUnit or TestNG
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Understanding of automation design patterns
  • Familiarity with Maven or Gradle
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
  • Experience with Allure Reports or similar reporting tools
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
