About us
Podomatic is a podcast hosting company. Our mission is to help people start a podcast and thrive. We are a small team that ships a real product, and we are looking for a Rails developer to improve our systems and build what's next.
Some of what we shipped recently:
- Rebuilt our dynamic ads system to deliver midroll and postroll insertions
- Made push notifications self-healing
- Taught our podcast importer to self-heal malformed feeds
Our stack
We use Ruby on Rails with Hotwire, Tailwind, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Memcached. We have some legacy Rails apps that we are looking to bring up to date. We try to follow Rails conventions as much as possible and keep things simple. We ship features end to end.

- You like Hotwire and keeping the frontend simple - no heavy JavaScript frameworks
