Senior C++ developer

We are looking for a talented Senior C++ Developer with 5+ years of programming background to make consistent, high-quality code contributions to a mature, high-performance C++ product in the energy commodities trading domain.
This is not a from-scratch build - you'll be joining a live, production trading system where every millisecond counts, with real opportunity to influence the technical direction of a core part of the platform.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• Deep expertise in Modern C++ (17/20/23): move semantics, constexpr, templates, etc.
• Strong experience with Linux / POSIX environments
• Proficiency with build systems and tools: CMake / vcpkg, Git
• Hands-on experience with concurrency and shared memory tools
• Networking skills: ZeroMQ (or similar), low-level socket programming (TCP/UDP)
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Codex, etc.) to enhance the development workflow
• English: Upper-Intermediate or Advanced

Nice to have:

• Experience with Svelte
• Familiarity with kdb+, TypeScript, and code generation tools
• Experience in Financial or Trading domains (FIX Protocol, OMS, market data feeds like ITCH/OUCH)
• Knowledge of Redis or other in-memory data stores
• Familiarity with the Qt framework
• Team lead experience (optional, not required)

Type: Fintech / trading platform
Product: A live, high-performance market order and trading system designed as an exchange for energy commodities. The platform connects global buyers and sellers of specialized commodities, providing trading, data insights, and market infrastructure used by large enterprises, financial institutions, and government agencies.
Market: Global - primarily US and European markets, serving corporations, financial institutions, and governments across multiple regions.
Stage: Existing, established platform. The Markets Engineering team is expanding internationally.
Project team: C++ and UI developers (team of 4-6), reporting to a Lead C++ Engineer. [confirm exact composition with HM]
Technical stack: Modern C++ (17/20/23), Linux/POSIX, CMake, vcpkg, Git, ZeroMQ, shared memory, TCP/UDP sockets; Svelte, TypeScript, kdb+, Redis, Qt (adjacent/nice to have)
