Your responsibilities:
1. Keeping the company online and secure
- Ensuring high availability and security of core IT services, including network connectivity, VPNs, DNS, identity systems, email, and access to internal resources.
- Taking ownership of uptime and service reliability - spotting issues early and preventing outages rather than reacting to them.
- Designing and maintaining monitoring that provides actionable signals.
2. Microsoft 365 & Azure administration
- Operating and continuously improving the Microsoft 365 and Azure environment (identity, access, security, resource lifecycle).
- Managing cloud resources with attention to structure, ownership, and cost hygiene.
- Maintaining a least-privilege access model using RBAC, Conditional Access, and MFA.
- Handling Exchange Online mail flow, spam and anti-phishing protections, and complex deliverability issues.
3. Networking and remote access
- Administering network infrastructure based on MikroTik (routing, switching, VLAN segmentation).
- Configuring and maintaining VPN connectivity (site-to-site and remote access, including WireGuard).
- Troubleshooting issues across network, identity, device, and service layers.
4. On-prem infrastructure and virtualization
- Maintaining Hyper-V environments on Windows Server.
- Administering Linux servers (Ubuntu) and containerized workloads.
- Managing storage systems, including HA storage, QNAP platforms, iSCSI, and shared storage architectures.
5. Backup and disaster recovery
- Ensuring reliable backups using Veeam: retention policies, encryption, access controls, and restore testing.
- Regular verifications that systems can be recovered, not just backed up.
- Thinking proactively about disaster recovery scenarios and operational resilience.
6. Hardware and physical infrastructure
- Managing hardware lifecycle: servers, network cards, UPS, firmware updates, and diagnostics.
- Monitoring hardware health, including Supermicro platforms and out-of-band access.
- Coordinating repairs, replacements, and RMA processes.
- Working hands-on with server rooms and rack infrastructure when needed.
7. Locations and environments
- Providing remote support for infrastructure located in a colocation facility in Toruń and a secondary/DR site in Zielonka/Bydgoszcz, along with distributed and remote endpoints.
Terms & Benefits:
- Remote work model (HQ in Bydgoszcz/Zielonka).
- Compensation: 15,000-17,000 gross PLN/month (UoP) or 116-132 PLN/hour net (B2B), depending on experience and skills.
