✔️Role description:

As a ServiceNow Operational Product Owner and member of our team, you will be responsible for the following areas:

Backlog management:

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog
  • Ensure clarity and order in tasks, making sure backlog items are well-defined and aligned with the product vision provided by the Product Manager.

Collaboration with technical (development) team:

  • Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Work with Product Manager and stakeholders and then with development team to refine requirements as needed
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and Product Manager for day-to-day operations
  • Ensure the team clearly understands the requirements and priorities and
  • Participate in planning meetings to select work items for the development team
  • Participate in daily stand-ups to address and resolve any immediate issues that may arise
  • Participate in retrospective meetings

Release planning and support:

  • Plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring alignment with the roadmap and readiness for launch
  • Provide ongoing support for the product post-release, including bug fixes and minor enhancements

Feedback Integration and improvement initiatives:

  • Gather feedback from end-users and stakeholders to refine and improve product features
  • Incorporate lessons learned into the product backlog for continuous improvement

Risk & issue management:

  • Anticipate potential risks or blockers in operational activities and collaborate with the team to develop mitigation strategies

Documentation & communication:

  • Keep updated documentation related to backlog items, sprint outcomes, and overall product processes
  • Ensure transparent and consistent communication with all relevant teams and stakeholders.
