The Booking Agency is an independent talent discovery platform.

Clients browse the directory free and contact you once you list your

work. You keep full control of your rates, your scope, and your

terms. We are the discovery and booking layer: clients find you

here, and the booking, contract, and payment happen on the platform.

How it works

1. Create your profile. List your work, your specialties, your city

or remote status, and your availability. Most profiles take under

5 minutes.

2. Choose your listing tier. Premium is $9.99 per month or $99 per

year and is enough to be discoverable in your city and category.

Pro is $49.99 per month or $499 per year and adds city-page and

category-page priority.

3. Get found. Clients land on the directory and filter by category,

city, and skill. Your profile shows your portfolio and your

rates if you list them. Contact details stay hidden until a

booking is confirmed.

4. Get booked. The client confirms and pays through the platform via

Stripe Connect. A contract is generated between you and the

client - The Booking Agency facilitates and invoices its

commission but is not a party to that contract. You receive your

payout 7 business days after the event for a live gig, or 14 business

days after delivery is confirmed for delivered work (photography,

videography, design and similar - even when you were on-site), minus

a 15% fee (10% platform plus 5% payment services). Prices include VAT where applicable.

How the platform earns

The Booking Agency earns two ways: listing subscriptions (Premium or

Pro, above) and a 15% fee on confirmed bookings (10% platform plus 5%

payment services), charged to talent only - the client pays exactly

the price you set. Prices include VAT where applicable. The Booking Agency facilitates the booking,

generates the contract, and administers the payment; the contract

itself is between you and the client, and The Booking Agency is not

a party to it.

listing anytime from your dashboard. If you cancel mid-period your

listing stays live to the end of the billed period.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it cost to join as talent?

Nothing. Creating and publishing a profile is free, and it stays free. Premium is free during our launch period and moves to 9.99 USD per month afterwards. You are never required to hold a subscription to be listed or to be found.

How does The Booking Agency make money?

We take 15 percent of a booking, and only when you actually get booked through the platform. That is 10 percent for the platform and 5 percent for payment services, which covers processing, holding the funds, paying you out, and handling disputes. You keep 85 percent. The client pays exactly the price shown, with no fee added on top for them.

When and how do I get paid?

The client pays when the booking is confirmed, and we hold the money until the engagement has taken place. Your payout is released 5 to 7 business days after the gig date, minus the 15 percent. You do not have to chase the client for payment and you do not carry the risk of them disappearing after the job.

Do I need a payout account before a client can book me?

No. You can receive and accept bookings before you have set up payouts, because the money is held by us in the meantime. You do need to complete payout onboarding before we can transfer it to you, so it is worth doing early rather than on the day of your first booking.

Which countries can be booked and paid out at launch?

At launch we can pay out to the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, and the countries of the European Economic Area. If you are based elsewhere your profile is still published and fully discoverable, but it does not yet carry a booking button. We are expanding the list after launch.

Who is my contract with, you or the client?

With the client. We act as your agent and handle the booking, the payment, and the paperwork around it, but the engagement itself is an agreement between you and the client. You keep control over your rates, your availability, and which work you accept.

How do I get my profile to rank higher?

Add a profile photo first, it carries real weight in our ranking and costs nothing. Then complete your profile, accept the current terms so you show up as bookable, and set up payouts. A subscription or a paid boost lifts you within your group, but it will never lift a profile without a photo above one that has a photo.
